Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), India, and its visionary founder, Dr. AchyutaSamanta (Member of Parliament, LokSabha), conferred a distinguished honor upon Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the Honorable Founder & Chairman of DIU on 28 January 2024, a press release said on Wednesday. Professor Dr. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), India, and Indian actor Sabbysachi Mishra from Ollywood was present during handing over the memento. Sabur Khan, the Honorable Chairman of DIU.
During Dr. Khan’s recent visit to KIIT, he was bestowed with this prestigious recognition, marking a significant moment of appreciation for his exemplary leadership in education and commitment to fostering international collaboration.
As part of the visit, Dr. Khan joined in the vibrant celebration of over 6000 female staff members from KIIT, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) during the PATTATHON mini-marathon. This special day, dedicated to joy and celebration, showcased the vibrant energy of the participants. Beside, Dr. Khan and Dr. AchyutaSamanta, Founder of KIIT presented congratulatory certificates to 20 students and staff of DIU those who joined for a week KIIT-KISS Volunteer Exchange Program from 20-26 January.
Dr. Khan’s recognition is not only a testament to his individual accomplishments but also reflects the strong ties between DIU and KIIT. In 2018, KIIT University awarded an Honorary Doctorate (D.Litt) to Dr. Khan during the 14th Annual Convocation for his outstanding leadership and contribution to education, business and technology.
