My E-Kids and Daffodil International School (DIS) jointly organized “Technopreneur Olympiad 2024” based on the theme ‘igniting curiosity and innovation’ on February 10, 2024. said a press release.
This collaborative effort will encourage and inspire the creativity of participants of various age groups through engaging competitions, including Kids Puzzle Contest, STEM Project Contest, Coding Contest, and Junior Entrepreneurs’ Business Contest. This Olympiad was a global event that celebrates innovation and technological brilliance.
With the aim of improving the modern technology knowledge of the youth, creating enthusiasm and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship among them and creating an awareness among the students of English medium and English version schools,
Country’s renowned Actor and Member of the National Parliament of Dhaka-10 constituency Ferdous Ahmed, MP was present as the chief guest at the closing and Award Giving Ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners. Mrs Sarwat Reza, Director, Business Development of British Council, Bangladesh, Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO of Daffodil Family were present as the special guests. Presided over by Dr. Md. Mahamudul Hassan, Principal of Daffodil International School, the program was addressed by Founder Principal Ms. Shahana Khan, Vice Principal Mohsina Sharmin Nishat (Bangla Version), Wahida Islam Jhumur (English version) of Daffodil International School.
The ‘Super Techno Kids’ titles added an extra layer of excitement in the Olympiad. ‘Super Techno Kids’ winners were provided with a Laptop each and they were Rufaida Khan Azrah (Grade-KG) of Daffodil International School from Group –A, Zahiyan Raeef Islam (Grade-2) of NICE School and from Group B and Maria Rahman Mysha (Grade-9) of Daffodil International School from Group C.
Addressing as the chief guest Ferdous Ahmed said that Bangladesh has become a ‘Digital Bangladesh’ with the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This Technopreneur Olympiad organized by My E Kids and Daffodil International School will play an important role in making the vision of transforming Digital Bangladesh into Smart Bangladesh by 2041 a reality as announced by the Prime Minister. I believe that Daffodil International School will always play a leading role in taking our country from Digital to Smart Bangladesh. This organization of “Technopreneur Olympiad 2024” is a groundbreaking step in the development of young students to take the technology forward.
Besides the competition, DIS also organized many entertainment activities, such as a trampoline, puppet show, paleontology exhibition, Lego Robotics demo, humanoid Robotics demo, and live science experiments, providing engaging diversions for both students and guardians. The awards ceremony was the highlight of the event, where all participants received certificates of participation. However, the standout moment was the eco-conscious fashion show called the ‘Trashion Show,’ solely prepared by the students of the DIS Community Service club.
