Member of the Team Diamonds, a team of students from Daffodil International University’s Software Engineering department which has won the NASA Space Apps Championship 2022 competition as the ‘Most Inspirational’ project this year was given upto 80 % waiver for next Spring Semester. This was announced through a memo Ref:DIU/RegAM&S/23- 53 issued from the Registrar Office on December 18, 2023. In light of their prestigious achievement, DIU Management allowed 50% waiver for next Spring Semester 2024 for each of the student of the team. University registrar Dr. Nadir Bin Ali said that this initiative has been taken to encourage students to achieve brilliant results at the national and international levels.Members of Team Diamonds are: Tisa Khandkar (Team Leader), Munim Ahmed (System Designer), InzamamulHaque Sonnet (System Architect), Abu Niaz (System Developer) and ZareenChowdhury (Researcher).
NASA Space Apps Challenge, is organized by NASA to showcase the innovative ideas and developments in space exploration led by aspiring space engineers and young talents. This year, the competition witnessed the participation of more than 5,300 teams from over 160 countries. Their remarkable achievement not only reflects their dedication but also significantly elevates the reputation of Daffodil International University on the global stage.
