Non-Resident Daffodil Alumni Announces $10m Crowdfunding Initiative

Daffodil Family Chairman, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, made a groundbreaking announcement during the Daffodil Alumni Australia Reunion, declaring the establishment of a $10 million crowdfund with the contribution of Daffodil Alumni Worldwide dedicated to the welfare, job placement, and entrepreneurship development of Non-Resident Daffodil Alumni worldwide, a press release said on Wednesday. This historic declaration took place during the momentous event held on September 24, 2023, in Sydney, Australia, which saw significant contributions from Australia-based alumni. The Non-Resident Daffodil Alumni will actively contribute to this fund.

The reunion was attended by 150 Daffodil alumni from various batches, along with their family members, who have excelled in fields such as research and business. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. Lutfor Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, and Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family.

 

During the event, the Chairman officially inaugurated the Non-Resident Daffodil Alumni (NRDA), recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Daffodil alumni living abroad. This gathering in Australia is part of a series of successful Daffodil alumni reunions held in various countries, highlighting the enduring bond within the Daffodil community.

The crowning moment of the occasion was the announcement of a $10 million crowdfund by Daffodil Global Alumni, aimed at empowering Daffodil alumni worldwide. This fund will support welfare initiatives and entrepreneurial endeavors, fostering innovation within the community.

Australia-based alumni set an impressive example by contributing 50 million Bangladeshi Taka to kickstart this ambitious initiative, demonstrating their commitment to their fellow alumni’s welfare and development. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan expressed gratitude for the global Daffodil alumni community’s strong support and dedication, emphasizing that this crowdfund represents a shared vision and determination to make a positive impact. The establishment of this crowdfund is a significant milestone in Daffodil alumni history, showcasing their commitment to driving positive change and innovation.
