North South University (NSU) today celebrated the 124th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, a press release said on Thursday. A cultural program was organized by NSU Sangskritik Sangathan (NSUSS) in the campus.
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, NSU as the Chief Guest. Musharrat Sharmee Hossain, Senior Lecturer, Department of English and Modern Languages and Faculty Advisor, NSU Shangshkritik Shangathan welcomed the guests and the audience. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Professor Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, NSU, faculties and students.
The cultural program included performances of Nazrul songs, recitations of Nazrul poems, and a drama based on Nazrul’s life. The program was well-received by the audience, who enjoyed the performances and the opportunity to learn more about Nazrul’s life and work.
