NSU, FBCCI jointly organize seminar on industry, academia

North South University (NSU) and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) jointly organized a seminar on “Industry – Academia Collaboration” on Tuesday ensuring health and safety rules, said a press release.

The main objective of the seminar was to provide timely education to the students through joint research of industry and academia and involving academicians to solve various problems of the industry.

The speakers emphasized on teaching students in subjects for which there is a demand in the job market. They told universities to open new subjects if required to cope up with new demand in job market, the release read.

Speaking as the Chief Guest, president of FBCCI Md. Jashim Uddin said, “Universities should not only teach; they should focus on teaching all the subjects that have demand in the job market. If we want to increase our capacity, we have to make partnership with the educational institutions. We need to strengthen the bonding between industry and business community.”

Prof. Atiqul Islam, vc of NSU said, “We are committed to providing international quality education to our students. We always encourage research between Industry and Academy.”
