NSU holds 4IR skills summit

North South University’s  (NSU) Career and Placement Center (CPC) has partnered with Aspire to Innovate (a2i) and Thriving Skills to host the groundbreaking Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Skills Summit 2023, a press release said Saturday.

The event aimed to equip students with the latest knowledge and skills to excel in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Attendees enjoyed master classes, seminars, and panel discussions with prominent industry experts, entrepreneurs, and academic leaders, addressing topics such as the Internet of Things, HR analytics, Blockchain Technology, and Big Data & Application.

On the summit’s second day, a seminar on preparing the workforce for 4IR trends and complications was held, moderated by Dr. Lamia Iftekhar, associate professor at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering School of Engineering & Physical Sciences.

The keynote presentation was delivered by H. M Asad-Uz-Zaman, strategy and innovation specialist at a2i.

The special guest, Ms. Nahid Sultana Mallik, joint project director (joint secretary) of Aspire to Innovate (a2i), ICT Division, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Professor M. Ismail Hossain, Pro-VC of NSU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Khasro Miah, spoke ober the programme.
