North South University (NSU) has organized a 3-day International Conference on Genomics, Nanotech, and Bioengineering 2022 at its auditorium on 26th June 2022, a press release said Monday.
Dr. Firdausi Qadri, senior scientist, International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) and Lead, Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives (ideSHi) graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Atiqul Islam, was present as the session chair. NSU Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Ismail Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Rita R. Colwell, professor at the University of Maryland at College Park and at John Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA, speaking at the conference offered a summary of half a century’s worth of research on cholera epidemics and their relationship with climatic and environmental variables.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza, member of organizing committee, NSU board of trustees members Tanveer Harun and Yasmin Kamal, directors of various departments, department heads were also present.
