NSU launches “ShuruThekeSurokkha” health campaign

North-South University (NSU) Public Health and Sciences Club has launched a campaign titled “ShuruThekeSurokkha”. Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Atiqul Islam inaugurated the campaign.

Pro-VC Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Treasurer Prof. ABM Rashedul Hassan, Professor &Dean of SHLS Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza,Department Chair of Public Health Dr. Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader, Professor Dr. Dipak Kumar Mitra, Faculty Advisor of North South Public Health & Sciences Club Dr. S Mahmud Mishu and other faculty members of the Public Health Department were also present.

During inauguration of the campaign NSU VC Professor Atiqul Islamsaid, that masks and sanitizers are essential during this pandemic. He thanked North South University Public Health & Sciences Club for taking the initiative and for providing the most needed accessories.

Opening the campaign, Dean of SHLS,Prof. Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza said that North South University is providing all the hygiene facilities and strictly following the protocol of Covid -19 for all the students attending on-campus classes. He also laid on the importance of wearing masks properly and asked all o follow the intra-campus hygiene guidelines.

For this the campaign, the university’s Public Health & Sciences Club has set up a booth having varios components including hand examination with UV ray (automated device for hand hygiene practice), hand hygiene instructions, smartphone sanitization device, hand sanitizer, and facial mask, along with Brochure or handbill on Covid-19 protocol/ intra-campus health instructions for students, faculty members and staff of North South University.

The booth has been set up in front of male student’s loungeat NSU. In addition, a photo booth along with a signing booth for those who are vaccinated, has been set up in the plaza area of the university.
