North South University (NSU) commemorated ‘Independence and National Day’on March 26, 2023 with a discussion meeting, a press release said Monday.
The event honored the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and countless mothers and sisters, which led to the establishment of an independent and sovereign state of Bangladesh.
Writer, researcher, historian and CU Bangabandhu Chair, Professor Dr. Muntasir Mamun, was present at the programme as chief guest, and chaired by NSU Pro-VC, professor M. Ismail Hossain.
The event also featured the screening of the documentary ‘The Concert for Bangladesh: Music to Introduce Bangladesh to the World’, directed by Asif Bin Ali, a teacher of the Media and Journalism Program of NSU.
