NSU observes National Mourning Day

North South University organised a discussion session and prayer session to mark the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Bangladesh’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day on Monday.

To pay homage to the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of August 15, North South University organised a comprehensive program, said a press release.

To mark the day, the National Flag was hoisted in the morning and kept at half-mast at NSU. Later in the morning, floral wreaths were placed at the portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at NSU Plaza.

NSU officials and students paid tribute to the great leader and other martyrs of the day by placing wreaths at about 10:00am in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the capital.
