NSU observes the Martyred Intellectuals Day

North South University (NSU), the number one ranked private university of Bangladesh, has observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day 2021 through various programs.

December 14will always remain as a black chapter in the history of the country’s independence and liberation struggle. On this day in 1971, the country’s renowned intellectuals including academicians, doctors, journalists, artists and teachers were dragged out of their homes, blindfolded, taken to unknown places and then brutally tortured and killed. Later, their bodies were dumped at Rayerbazar area in the capital.

A team of NSU members led by Prof. ABM Rashedul Hassan, Treasurer, NSU, visited the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Rayer Bazaar in Dhaka to pay homage to the Martyred Intellectuals.

The university’s BNCC coordinated the program. Mehedi Hasan, Commander, NSUBNCC and his team members, represented the NSU BNCC. Students from different clubs of NSU were also present among others.
