NSU participates in Education Expo

North South University (NSU) made a significant mark at the grand Education Expo organized by the Education Reporters Association of Bangladesh (ERAB), a press release said on Tuesday. The prestigious event took place at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital, attracting a multitude of public and private universities, polytechnic institutes, and various educational institutions. With an array of research, publications, and innovations on display, NSU showcased its academic prowess and commitment to excellence.

As the chief guest, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP graced the occasion with her presence and shared her thoughts on the advancements made by private universities in Bangladesh. Dr. Dipu Moni acknowledged the interest shown by these institutions in awarding PhD degrees and urged the University Grants Commission (UGC) to delve further into the matter.

The NSU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Atiqul Islam also shared his opinions. In addition, Professor Dr. Sk. Tawfique M. Haque, the Chair of the Department of Political Science and Sociology and Director of the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) at NSU, emphasized the importance of PhD programs and research in private universities. His remarks shed light on the crucial role these institutions play in fostering scholarly advancement and producing quality research.

Javed Munir Ahmed, a member of the Board of Trustees of NSU, delivered a closing ceremony speech, highlighting the success of the expo and its significance in providing comprehensive information to students aspiring for higher education both domestically and internationally.
