North South University (NSU) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF), a press release said on Monday. The agreement was formalized in a symposium hosted at NSU’s syndicate hall by the Office of External Affairs.
This strategic alliance saw prominent representatives from both institutions. Leading the NSU delegation was Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Professor Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza, Dean of the School of Health and Life Sciences, and Professor Dr. Javed Bari, Dean of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, including also various departmental chairmen and office directors also attended.
Representing CHRF was Dr. SenjutiSaha, Director & Senior Scientist, accompanied by Scientist Dr. Yogesh Hooda, Associate Scientist Arif Mohammad Tanmoy, Office Executive Monimul Hasan Khan, Microbiologist and Science Communicator Nazifa Tabassum, and Senior Training Officer Aditya Arefin.
Emphasizing the significance of the collaboration, Professor Atiqul Islam stated, “Nothing can be more important than the health of children. It is a privilege for NSU to collaborate with CHRF on research.” Echoing this sentiment, Dr. SenjutiSaha highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of modern research saying, “We are working on many projects. It is not possible for microbiologists and biochemists alone to handle them. If we can all work together, it will be a remarkable example.”
The proceedings were moderated by NSU’s External Affairs Director, Dr. Katherine Li, while Dr. FariahMahzbeen, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, welcomed.
