North South University (NSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fukuyama University, Japan on Monday, a press release said.
The purpose of this MoU is to provide facilities for students and faculties of both universities to exchange and develop the quality of education and research.
Prof. Yutaka Otsuka, President, Fukuyama University, Japan was virtually present as the Chief Guest. Prof. Toshiaki Itami, Vice-President, Director, International Center, Fukuyama University, Japanwas virtually present as the Special Guest.Prof. Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, NSU chaired the session.
Prof. Yutaka Otsuka said, “We hope this Memorandum of Understanding will improve the situation of transfer students between both universities. Although the signing ceremony was held online due to the effects of the new Corona Virus infection, we will extend utmost collaboration between NSU and Fukuyama University for academic, research, and transfer of students between those two universities.”
Prof. Atiqul Islam said, “It is my pleasure to talk about the relationship between Japan and Bangladesh, the relationship between us and JAICA, the relationship between North South University and a number of Japanese Universities over the years. It is clear that Japan is extremely important as a friend, as our financier, and as a source of technical knowledge and technical help. NSU is extremely pleased to be a part of this MoU.”
Professor Dr. Mohammad Khasro Miah, Director, CPC, Deans, Directors, Chairman of different departments, Higher officials, and Faculties of NSU were present at signing ceremony.
