North South University (NSU), University of Miyazaki inaugurated B-JET program on October 3, 202.
Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of North South University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Keisuke Murakami, Vice President (International Relations) of University of Miyazaki, also joined the ceremony from Japan as special guest, a press release said.
B-JET training program was first initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed among Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), North South University (NSU), and University of Miyazaki (UoM) on February 24, 2021. It aims to support the capacity development of Bangladeshi ICT engineers and future ICT engineers who have the potential to create business networks between Japan and Bangladesh.
Prof. Keisuke Murakami inaugurated the ceremony by delivering the inauguration speech. His speech was followed by the Honorable Guest Kenichi Wajima, Unit Director of Globalgeeks Inc. (BJIT Group). Prof. Keisuke Murakami expressed his hopes about this program stating that “I sincerely hope that the B-JET program starting here today will help the employment sector of both countries, especially the IT sector in Japan.” SayuriOgino, Representative Director of B&M, and FumikatsuHonma, Managing Director of ShinkoshuppanshaKeirinkan Co., Ltd, also delivered attended the program as Guest Speakers. They congratulated all the organizations associated with the program.
FumikatsuHonma addressed the issues of poverty, lack of education, and depression among the young generation in his speech. He said that “Japan has predicted that there will be a shortage of workforce in IT sector in the near future.”
