NSU’s CPS celebrates 3rd anniversary

The Center for Peace Studies (CPS) of the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG), North South University (NSU) celebrated its 3rd Anniversary on February 27, 2023, a press release said Monday.

On the occasion, CPS has organized a number of events, including SIPG Policy Debate-1 in collaboration with NSU Debate Club. The topic for the debate was ‘Is there an alternative to student politics to maintain a peaceful environment on university campuses?’

The judges of the debate were Dr. Abdun Noor Tushar, a Debater, and Media Personality, and Ms. Parisa Shakur, Memberof CPS. The moderator of the debate was Omar Nasif Abdullah, Faculty, Adviser, NSU Debate Club.  In the second part of the program, CPS screened a movie titled ‘Hotel Rwanda’.

The Center for Peace Studies (CPS) was founded in 2020 with the aim to facilitate the academic study of peacebuilding and the promotion of a resilient society through evidence-based and empirical research under the SIPG of NSU.
