NSU’s Earth Club hosts EnvoFrame

North South University’s Earth Club hosted a groundbreaking competition named ‘EnvoFrame’ Monday, a press release said. Sponsored by EnvoLead, the event was held to elevate awareness and advocacy around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by leveraging the impact of visual storytelling.

Nahim Razzaq, MP, a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Convenor of Climate Parliament Bangladesh, attended as Chief Guest. Professor Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of NSU chaired the session. Other notable attendees included Dr. Mubarak Ahmed, Scientific Advisor to the Bangladesh Jute Mill’s Corporation and inventor of the Sonali Bag. Dr. Kamrun Nahar, a Professor from the Department of Environmental Science and Management at NSU, and Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, a Professor in the Department of Economics and Director of the Students’ Affairs Office at NSU, were Special Guests.

In this event, participants submitted compelling narratives, novel solutions, and evidence of positive impact to bolster support for the SDGs. The panel of esteemed judges, including Md. Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications at UNDP Bangladesh, and Md. Mahfuzur Rahnman Mishu, Special Correspondent at Jamuna Television Ltd., oversaw the competition.
