The inauguration of the ‘Robot NoksharAshor 2021’ competition was held recently, a release said.
The competition is organized by Daffodil Robotics Lab of the Department of Software Engineering, Daffodil International University (DIU).
Students and professionals from all schools, colleges and universities of the country will be able to participate in this competition on the online platform. Each team must have a minimum of 3-5 members.
The participants of the competition have to design different types of 3D robots. Competitors will be able to present their projects through 6 categories. Honorable judges will observe and judge the 3D robot models presented by the contestants through the virtual platform. The best robot designer will be given a financial prize. The first prize is TK. 1 lakh, the second prize is Tk. 50,000 and the third prize is Tk. 25,000. In addition, Daffodil Robotics Lab’s 1-year membership, research facilities and mentoring support, and Daffodil Robotics Lab will provide all kinds of assistance to make the presented robot model a reality.
Prof. Dr. Sazzad Hossain, Member, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh spoke as the chief guest at the inaugural program while Dr, Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU spoke as the special guest.
Prof. Dr. Lafifa Jamal, Professor and Former Head,Department of Robotics AndMechatronics Engineering,University of Dhakaspoke as the guest of honor on the program. Beside this Dr. Imran Mahmud, Head & Associate Professor, Department of Software Engineering, DIU and convener of the competition, Md. Hafizul Imran, Lecturer, Department of SoftwareEngineering, DIU,Mr. SharfulAlam, Chief Executive Officer at FelicityIDC Limited,Jafar Ahmed Patwary, General Manager, DaffodilComputers Ltd., Md. FazleMunim, Technology Expert, a2i, NahidaAkter, Head of Corporate sales, SSD –Tech also spoke.
