17 nomination papers are valid, 2 canceled and 1 is suspended In Bhola

Nomination papers of 17 candidates of 4 constituencies of Bhola district have been declared valid, 2 candidates have been canceled and 1 candidate has been suspended.

Bhola District Returning Officer Arifuzzaman scrutinized the nomination papers of the candidates.

The nomination papers were scrutinized in the presence of the candidates in the conference room of the District Returning Officer on Sunday (December 3). A total of 20 candidates filed nomination papers in 4 constituencies of Bhola district. Among them, the nomination papers of 17 candidates were declared valid. Md. Mizanur Rahman (independent) in Bhola-1 Sadar Constituency because the signatures of 1% of the voters are average and Bhola-2 Constituency Ed. Md. Jahangir Alam Ritu (Bangladesh Congress) party’s candidate’s marks were not specified, the nomination papers of two of them were canceled and the nomination papers of Jatiya Party’s candidate Md. Mizanur Rahman of Bhola-2 constituency were suspended due to bank loan.

However, Bhola Deputy Commissioner, Returning Officer Arifuzzaman said that he will publish the final list on December 4 with a decision on the suspended candidate. There are 28 nominations in the district. Among them, 20 candidates filed nomination papers for party and independent posts. After verification today, the nomination papers of 17 candidates including 3 valid candidates in Bhola-1 seat, 4 in Bhola-2 seat, 5 in Bhola-3 seat and 5 in Bhola-4 seat have been declared valid.
