Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the country’s first JCI-accredited hospital, organized a patient forum to celebrate World Heart Day 2022, a press release said Thursday.
The theme of this year’s Heart Day is ‘Use Heart for Every Heart’.
The speakers at a press conference discussed this year’s theme and exchanged opinions and experiences. About 18.7 million (1 crore 87 lakh) people die worldwide every year due to cardiovascular disease. The hospital authorities organized this to increase awareness about heart health and cardiovascular diseases.

Shahabuddin Talukder, senior consultant of clinical and Interventional Cardiology Department; Dr. Shams Munwar, senior consultant, Clinical and Interventional Cardiology Department; Professor Dr. Tamzeed Ahmed, senior consultant, Clinical and Interventional Cardiology; Professor Dr. M. Atahar Ali, senior consultant, Heart Failure and Arrhythmia Unit; Dr. Tahera Nazrin, senior consultant and Coordinator of Clinical and Interventional Pediatric Cardiology Department; Dr. Sohail Ahmed, senior consultant and Coordinator of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery; Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Haider, senior consultant, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery; and others were present on the occasion.
Professor (Dr.) Md. Shahabuddin Talukder, senior consultant of Clinical and Interventional Cardiology Department said “After disease is detected in our body, there are many opportunities for treatment, but there is a risk that the lifestyle will not be as normal as before.”
