Premature births, defined as deliveries occurring before the 37th week of pregnancy, took center stage during the press conference. Notably, premature babies often exhibit low birth weight. The causes of premature birth remain complex, with a partial dependence on maternal health conditions during pregnancy.
Present at the event as speakers were Dr. Abu Sayeed Mohammad Iqbal, Senior Consultant, Pediatrics and Senior Consultant and Coordinator of Neonatology Department; and Dr. NusratFarooq, Senior Consultant of Pediatrics & Neonatology Department.
