Evercare Hospital Dhaka Celebrates World Prematurity Day

the first JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited hospital in the country, conducted a patient forum and press conference to observe World Prematurity Day, globally recognized on November 17 each year. Evercare Hospital Dhaka, aims to raise awareness about the causes and remedies of premature births. a press release said that .

Premature births, defined as deliveries occurring before the 37th week of pregnancy, took center stage during the press conference. Notably, premature babies often exhibit low birth weight. The causes of premature birth remain complex, with a partial dependence on maternal health conditions during pregnancy.

Present at the event as speakers were Dr. Abu Sayeed Mohammad Iqbal, Senior Consultant, Pediatrics and Senior Consultant and Coordinator of Neonatology Department; and Dr. NusratFarooq, Senior Consultant of Pediatrics & Neonatology Department. In addition, Dr. RatnadeepChaskar, CEO & MD of Evercare Hospitals, Dhaka; and Dr. Arif Mahmud, Director of Medical Services Department of Evercare Hospitals, Bangladesh, graced the occasion with his presence. Other consultants from different specialties also joined the event.
