Evercare Hospital Dhaka has added state-of-the-art technology, Neuro Navigation system, to its neurosurgery department, a press release said Wednesday.
The ultra-modern machine will equip the hospital with the most advanced computer aided navigation system, which helps in conducting brain tumor and spinal surgeries with more accurate and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Arif Mahmud, Director of Medical Services said, “Evercare Hospital Dhaka has always been in the forefront in adopting advanced technological systems for extending better medical care to the patients, this new addition is the continuation of that process”.
On December 3, Prof. (Col.) Dr. Md. Aminul Islam successfully operated, using the device for first time, on a complex brain tumor using this advanced technology.
Neuro navigation will help in achieving optimal accuracy, minimal incision, lower trauma and quicker recovery of patients. The navigation technology aids the surgeons at every point to stay aligned with the surgical goals in a highly complex anatomical field.
