E-commerce company Evaly’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rassel walked out from Kashimpur Jail on Tuesday.
Kashimpur Central Jail-1 jailer Md Tariqul Islam confirmed this at noon.
He said Md Russel was accused in several cases and for this, he failed to get bail earlier. All relevant papers related to bail reached the prison on Monday afternoon. After scrutinising those, Mohammad Rassel was permitted to walk out of jail.
On September 15, 2021, a customer named Arif Baker filed a money laudering case with Gulshan Police Station accusing Russel and his wife Shamima Nasrin.
The next day, RAB raided a flat in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur and arrested the couple. Later, they were shown arrested in cases filed in different police stations on charges of fraud. Though the wife was release after suffering in jail for a long time, Rassel was not freed.
