Mohammad Rassel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of e-commerce company Evaly, secured bail on Wednesday, one day after an arrest warrant issued again him.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ali Hayder passed this order after hearing on a bail petition.
Mohammad Rassel submitted the petition through his lawyer after surrender in the court this morning.
But his wife Shamima Nasrin was not surrender in court.
The same court on January 15, issued an arrest warrant against Rassel and Shamima Nasrin, also a co-founder, as the couple were not appeared in the court.
On September 15, 2021, a customer named Arif Baker filed a money laundering case with Gulshan Police Station accusing Russel and his wife Shamima Nasrin.The next day, RAB raided a flat in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur and arrested the couple. Later, they were shown arrested in cases filed in different police stations on charges of fraud.
Later, the couple have been freed on bail at different times.
