Bangladesh Railway will operate 17 special trains for the devotees participating in the two phases of the Ijtema that will start from February 2 on the bank of Turag River in Gazipur’s Tongi.
Alongside, two Jum’a special train services also will be operated on Dhaka-Tongi-Dhaka route on February 2 and 9, said Railways Minister Md Zillul Hakim at a press briefing at the Rail Bhaban on Tuesday.
Five special trains will be operated from Dhaka-Tongi and another five on the Tongi-Dhaka routes on the days of Akheri Munajat (February 4 and 11) and a special train will also be operated on the Tongi-Mymensingh .
Bishwa Ijtema will take place in two phases at Tongi from February 2-4 for the first phase and from February 9-11 for the second phase.
