A man was killed and four others were injured in a road accident at Bhangura upazila in Pabna district on Sunday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 3pm at Rangalia village under Parbhangura union of the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Chameli Begum, 50, wife of Abdur Razzak, a resident of Shahjadpur upazila sadar.
According to locals, a CNG-run autorickshaw with passengers, including the victim, was heading towards Faridpur. On the way, a speeding truck rammed into the autorickshaw from opposite direction when it attempted to cross another autorickshaw, leaving Chameli Begum dead on the spot and four other passengers critically injured.
Locals rescued the injured and admitted to Bhangura Upazila Health Complex.
Bhangura Police Station officer-in-charge Nazmul Haque confirmed the death matter, adding that police seized the both vehicles from the spot and legal actions were underway in this regard.
