‘Admin should refrain from activities that may ruin BNP’s reputation’

Economic Affairs Secretary of the BNP Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahboob Shemol said the government administration should refrain from activities, which might ruin the reputation of the BNP or those who played roles in overthrowing the fascist government.

The Awami League regime fell due to its oppression and injustice on people, he said. “However, people still say the same thing about the administration what they used to say during the past regime,” he added.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a day-long free medical camp organised on the occasion of the 46th founding anniversary of the Juba Dal in Brahmanbaria town on Sunday morning.

He also called on the party leaders and activists to refrain from activities, which would create distances between them and people. As per the instruction of the party’s ActingChairman Tarique Rahman, all the leaders and activists would have to work for people, he further said.

Civil Surgeon Dr Noman Miah, the district’s Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) President Dr Maqbul Hossain and several former BNP leaders of the district were the special guests at the programme chaired by Md Shamim Mollah, president of Brahmanbaria Juba Dal.

Brahmanbaria Juba Dal General Secretary Yashin Mahmud, Vice President Rashed Kabir Akand and other leaders of the district Juba Dal were present.

Later, the medical camp was inaugurated with a blood donation programme. In the medical camp, 22 medical consultants were providing services to patients suffering from different diseases, including heart diseases and gynecological problems.
