Annual judicial conference held in Sunamganj

Annual Judiciary Conference-2024 was held in Sunamganj District under the organization of Judiciary Department. 
The conference was held on Saturday (January 25) at nine thirty in the morning in the conference room of the District and Sessions Judge Court. 
Senior District and Sessions Judge presided over the conference. Hemayet Uddin. 
At the beginning of the conference, the introductory phase begins.
At the end of the introductory phase, Senior District and Sessions Judge. Hemayet Uddin delivered the welcome speech.
Later in the Judiciary, the learned Joint District and Sessions Judge Kankan Dey presented the case filing and settlement statistics for 2024 and the learned Judicial Magistrate presented the case filing and settlement statistics in the Judicial Magistrate. Shah Jamal
In which it is mentioned that the amount of money collected by the judge court is 4 crore, 66 lakh, 48 thousand, 471 taka and the settlement rate in magistracy is 110%The learned senior assistant judge Begum Dilruba Yachmin presented the main article related to the identified obstacles in the settlement of civil cases. The learned senior judicial magistrate Kamal Uddin presented the original article related to the identified obstacles in the criminal case settlement.
Later open discussion was held and guest speakers spoke.

Sadar hospital supervisor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Swapan, civil surgeon Dr. Jasim Uddin,
Public Prosecutor Add. Mallik Moin Uddin Suhail, District Lawyers Association President Adv. Nazrul Islam and 
General Secretary Ed. Sherenur Ali and officials of various judicial departments were present.
In the meeting, District and Sessions Judge Md. Hemayet Uddin learned from the Jail Superintendent about the overall security system of the district jail along with proper legal protection system for the prisoners.
Moreover, Judge Shipe called on all concerned to establish 01 more Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal, 01 Additional District Judge Court, 2 Joint District Judge Courts, 2 Senior Assistant Judges and one more Assistant Judge Court for Shantiganj Upazila.
Moreover, he called upon all the concerned parties to preserve and dispose of the CDs of the case properly after the settlement of the GR case. He also called upon the court police to make necessary arrangements for the court process of the criminal justice system to be issued in a short time.
Deputy Commissioner said in the conference. Mohammad Ilyas Mia said, 
Officials informed that effective measures are being taken to ensure regular attendance of witnesses.
Superintendent of Police A. F. M. Anwar Hossain Khan said that most of the criminal cases in Bangladesh are arising out of land acquisition disputes. As a result, if Bangladesh can solve land related problems and organize land management, criminal cases will be reduced a lot.
Sunamganj 28 BGB captain Lt. Colonel AKM Zakaria Qadir was instructed to recover the contraband and deposit it at the local police station to take appropriate legal action against the smugglers.
Senior district and session judge at the meeting. Hemayet Uddin called on the various parties involved in the justice system to fulfill their duties properly to ensure speedy justice.
In the meeting, Anisur Rahman as Assistant Judge and Kakan Dey as Joint District Judge, and Chief Judicial Magistrate Rokan Uddin Kabir and District Legal Aid Officer Sulekha Dey were felicitated in the meeting.
