The founding chairman of Liberal Democratic Party-LDP retired Colonel Oli Ahmed has demanded to cancel and ban the registration of Awami League as a dictatorship and terrorist group. He said this at a press conference at the central office of LDP in Moghbazar of the capital on Thursday (August 8) morning. After the fall of dictatorship, Ali Ahmad urged everyone to unite irrespective of caste-religion-caste-political identity.
He said that Sheikh Hasina should be brought back to the country and face trial for genocide only if a suitable environment is created. Demanding national elections within six months, the LDP chairman said that the families of those injured in the student movement should be compensated, resettled and treated well. Absence cases filed since 2009 should be withdrawn.
