A day-long discussion meeting was held at Nilphamari on Tuesday with the representatives of various service providers to inform of the achievements of the Political Empowerment of Unprivileged Women project.
Additional District Commissioner (General) Farooq Al Masud graced the meeting organized by Aparajita District Network as the chief guest.
Daulat Jahan, President of Aparajita District Network, presided over the meeting and Program Coordinator of Aparajita Project Feroze Md. Nurun-Nabi Jugal delivered the welcome speech. The discussion paper was presented by Romana Begum, a member of District Aparajita Network.
Apart from this, Upazila Youth Development Officer Alamgir Hossain, Upazila Cooperative Officer Manjur Morshed Talukdar, Upazila Social Service Officer Feroz Sarkar, Bangladesh Walkers Pati President Tapan Kumar Roy, District Aparajita Network Vice President Farida Begum and Tasnim Fawzia Opel, General Secretary and Zilla Parishad Reserved Women Ward Members Israt Jahan Pallavi, District BNP Organizing Secretary Sefaul Jahangir Alam, Sadar Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Santana Chakraborty, Kishoreganj Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Swapna Shanta Pramanik, Journalists Noor Alam and Sheesh Rahman, Democracy Watch District Member Roksana Haque Sathi, Aparajitar District Program Coordinator Nadira Akhter gave a speech.
Women representatives, women leaders, women entrepreneurs and media workers participated in the meeting.
