Bangladesh to host AIC SA Qualifiers with 75 lakh BDT prize pool

Arena of Valor, Bangladesh, a multiplayer online battle arena game, is going to host AIC South Asia Qualifiers 2022 this year.

This is the first time Bangladesh is having the honor and opportunity to host such a huge international esports tournament for South Asia. The 8 regional winning teams from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Myanmar will be competing fiercely in the final Offline/ LAN event for the prize money of 75 lakh BDT which is undoubtedly very huge. As a leveraging partner, Infinix Mobile Bangladesh is supporting this biggest esports offline gaming event through its most trending Hot11S smartphones.

A press conference was held at Bashundhara International Convention Center, where Sharif Saquib from the Arena of Valor introduced the four-team captains from Bangladesh and also described the program flow. The tournament firstly took place regionally (from 11 March to 26 March) in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Myanmar. 8 teams won the competition from 4 countries who will take part in the final play-off at a LAN event which will take place in Bangladesh at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Purbachal Express Highway, Dhaka (from March 30 to April 1). The champion team from the Grand final will get a ticket to play Arena of Valor International Championship on the Global Stage.

It is worth mentioning here that the Asian Games 2022 will take place in September and Arena of Valor is going to be included as a medal event in Asian Games this year in China. 

From Pakistan, the champion team- ‘Agon esports’, and the Runner Up team ‘Vainglorious’ will participate in the final play-off. ‘Starry Hope’ from Myanmar and ‘Impunity’ from Cambodia, both teams are also joining. From Bangladesh, 4 teams have won at the regional level competition. ‘Venom esports’ was the Champion Team while the Runner Up position was acquired by ‘Martyrs Brute Force Dementors’. ‘We esports Oriental Phoenix’ won 3rd place and the 4th Place winning team was ‘We esports Armada’. The winning teams were absolutely delighted when they expressed their excitement and satisfaction regarding the competition. All the winning teams will take part in the AIC South Asia Qualifiers in Bashundhara International Convention Center, Hall-2 from 30 March to 31 March and 1 April 2022.

This tournament has been graced by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tahsan Khan, Mohammad Ashraful, Mumtaheena Toya, and Sayed Zaman Shawon.

The country head of Arena of Valor, Bangladesh Kazi Arafat Hossain has said,  “We are very proud and happy to be able to organize and host such a huge international esports tournament in South Asia. This very competitive Arena of Valor play-off is much anticipated globally and we are hoping to launch Bangladeshi teams who have won here on the international stage”.
