Awami League General Secretary (AL) Obaidul Quader Tuesday warned that BNP would not be spared if it tries to resort to anarchy on October 28 next.
“The AL will allow BNP to hold its rally on October 28 if the party does not try to create chaos in the country on that day. Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister,” said
He came up with the remarks while speaking at an extended meeting of Dhaka South City unit of Awami League held at the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office in the capital this afternoon.
Pointing out that no government can be toppled through a movement setting a specific timeframe, he said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina repaired the country but BNP destroyed it.
The AL general secretary said BNP’s colourful dream of Dhaka siege will fall flat, alleging that they (BNP leaders) are now out to destroy the country’s democracy.
