The BRAC Bank Reading Café members recently gathered to discuss ‘‘Origamir Gulokdhadhay’’ a captivating collection of short stories by young writer Mahrin Ferdous.
This marks the Reading Café’s 20th book read and discussed, underscoring its commitment to fostering a love for literature among its members.
During the discussion, members explored Ferdous’ storytelling depth, particularly her portrayal of lovelorn characters. The author’s ability to immerse herself in her characters’ minds and emotions resonated deeply with the group. Ferdous’ signature Tagorian endings – unexpected and thought-provoking conclusions – were hailed as a defining feature that made the stories even more compelling.
The group also analyzed Ferdous’ unique style and language, noting how her creative narrative techniques add richness to her tales.
