BRAC Bank and SME Foundation recently held a three-day capacity-building programme, ‘Amrai TARA,’ for women-led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) in Rajshahi.
Held from 3rd to 5th December 2024, the programme attracted 32 promising WSMEs eager to develop their business acumen.
The initiative focused on understanding the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, providing practical solutions, and guiding them in creating effective marketing channels for their products.
Supported by the Gates Foundation, the program emphasized advancing women’s entrepreneurship and financial inclusion in the region.
On the final day, Khadija Mariam, Head of the Women Entrepreneur Cell, Khaled Ali from Agent Banking, and Amir Hamza, Territory Manager of SME Banking at BRAC Bank, conducted a half-day session on Banking Literacy and Financial Inclusion, equipping participants with essential financial knowledge.
The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, celebrating the participants’ commitment to enhancing their entrepreneurial skills.
This capacity development program is part of an ongoing collaboration between BRAC Bank and SME Foundation to promote long-term business sustainability through financial inclusion and entrepreneurial development.
