BRAC Bank to provide banking services to EU

BRAC Bank and Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh (EU) has partnered together for Transaction Banking solutions to cater to Mission’s different banking needs in Bangladesh, said a press release.

The partnership will enable BRAC Bank to provide different banking solutions to the EU within the regulation of Bangladesh Bank.

BRAC Bank will provide Foreign Currency Account, Convertible, Non-Convertible, Current Account, and Provident Fund Account as per the requirement of EU for its regular banking transaction as and when required.

The release also mentioned that the bank will also offer CORPnet, a unique online payment platform for its corporate customers, to the EU which will enable the EU to make all kinds of local payments in Bangladeshi Taka through Internal Fund Transfer (within BRAC Bank), Electronic Fund Transfer (BEFTN network) and RTGS transfer.

BRAC Bank will also provide Employee Banking services for the EU’s local and ex-pat employees and assign a designated branch for the EU delegation, through its North Gulshan Branch in Dhaka within banking hours.
