BRAC University becomes Cultural Fest Champions

In a grand display of creativity by students from 15 renowned universities, Event Box hosted the second edition of the ‘Cultural Fest.’ The day-long event, titled ‘Cultural Fest 2.0, Powered by Aarong Dairy,’ was held on Friday at the Aloki Convention Center in Gulshan, Dhaka.

University students participated in competitions spanning four categories: dance, music, theater, and painting. The event also featured performances by five of the country’s top musical bands— Torun Band, Calypso, Kakatol, Avoid Rafa, and Shironamhin—who captivated the audience throughout the day.

The competition was judged by four esteemed cultural personalities, each a distinguished figure in their respective field. The judges were Ahsan Habib Nasim (theater), Wasek Mottakinur Rahman (dance), Elita Karim (music), and Shamsul Alam Azad (visual arts). At the fest’s end, BRAC University was declared the champion, Jahangirnagar University secured the runner-up position, and BUFT (BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology) placed third.

Speaking about the event, Event Box Chairperson and Founder Sharmin Rahman stated, “Our goal is to create a platform where young talents can flourish and inspire future generations through their creativity. We believe such events reflect the cultural unity and heritage of our nation. I am thrilled to see our partners and supporters bring this event to life.”
