Bus set on fire in city’s Shahbagh

Miscreants set fire to a bus under metro rail station at Shahbagh in the capital on Wednesday.

The bus belonging to ‘Bangabandhu Avenue Paribahan’ was set on fire at around 2:30 pm.

Fire Service and Civil Defense control room duty officer Rozina Akter confirmed it.

She said miscreants set fire to a bus of Bangabandhu Avenue Paribahan under Shahbagh Metrorail Station at 2:34 pm. Later, on information, fire service team reached the spot.

Two units of Palashi Barrack Fire Station brought the fire under control with police security, she added.

However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
