Chinese embassy Initiates Second Smart Classroom

The Chinese embassy in Bangladesh has inaugurated the second smart classroom under the ‘China Bangladesh Friendship Talent Development Project’. An inauguration ceremony has been held to launch the smart classroom at Sofir Uddin High School and College, Sylhet on Sunday, said on press release.

Yao Wen, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh, and Pan Junfeng, President of Huawei South Asia and CEO, Huawei Bangladesh, inaugurated the classroom.

This smart classroom has been equipped with Huawei IdeaHub, an advanced learning solution that will allow teachers and students to have advanced onsite and online teaching and study platforms.

H.E. Yao Wen, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, said, “The prime minister has dreamt of a smart Bangladesh. For that, we must have smart citizens, smart people, and smart students. That’s why we have the classroom. We will spread the classroom all over Sylhet and the country. And we promise that next year we will select some students and teachers for a visit to China.”

Pan Junfeng, President of Huawei South Asia and CEO, Huawei Bangladesh said, “Huawei, as a global ICT infrastructure leader, has always put local talent development programs at high importance. We provided the smart classroom with the most advanced and multi-functional teaching equipment to provide students with advanced learning opportunities.”

The smart classroom was handed over to the principal of Sofir Uddin High School during the inauguration. Afterwards, a demonstration of IdeaHub’s utility was conducted in front of the guests, showcasing the smart classroom features for creating smart citizens for a smart country.
