Community Initiative Society (CIS) with the support of the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) and Karnaphuli Group is providing relief materials to the flood-affected people in Sunamganj, Habiganj, Netrakona, Kurigram districts on Wednesday, a press release said.
The CIS is distributing food packs to 1000 families, Oral Rehydration Saline (ORS), water purification tablets and soap in Taherpur and Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamganj district, Lakhai Upazila of Habiganj district, Barhatta Upazilla of Netrakona district, Nageshwari Upazilla of Kurigram District.
The CIS also organized five health camps to provide emergency healthcare and free medicines on Wednesday. This intervention of CIS will continue until the flood situation gets better, it said.
