The country’s Covid-19 death toll crossed the 12,000-mark with 33 more deaths being reported in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am Tuesday.
With these latest figures, the lowest since 46 days, the total death count stands at 12,005, according to the data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
However, the fatality rate rose to 1.55% on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 1,230 new cases of Covid-19 were also reported, the lowest in 58 days, bringing the total caseload to 7,76,257 with fixing the infection rate at 8.67% in the preceding 24 hours.
In the meantime, 14,184 samples were tested in 454 labs across the country.
