Bangladesh has registered 101 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours till 8 am Sunday, taking the total number of fatalities to 11,053 in the country.
On 20 April, the number of fatalities dropped below 100 after recording the highest number of daily deaths in four consecutive days since April 16.
Meanwhile, the country recorded 2,922 new infections, with a rate of 13.33% in the last 24 hours. The country’s total caseload reached 7,45,322 as of Sunday
The country’s maiden coronavirus cases were reported on 8 March last year and the news of the first death from the virus came out 10 days later, on 18 March.
As of Sunday, 3,114,288 people died worldwide from Covid-19 and 147,128,661 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
