Miscreants set fire to a passenger bus at Gulistan’s Zero point area in the capital on Tuesday afternoon, during a daylong hartal across the country, called by BNP and like-minded opposition parties.
The arson attack took place at around 1.10pm in front of General Post office (GPO) in the area.
Being informed, two fire firefighting units were sent to the spot to douse the blaze, said Lima Khanom, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
No casualties were reported yet in this regard, she added.
