An operational team of Narcotics Control Department (DNC) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 2,002 pieces of Yaba pills from Harirampur upazila of Manikganj district on Wednesday.
The arrested woman was identified as Monira Akter, 20, wife of Shamim Mia, a resident of Jhitka Maddhapara area under the upazila.
On a top-off, a DNC team conducted a raid in the area and arrested the woman with the yaba tablets from her house, said deputy director of DNC M Hamimur Rashid.
