In celebration of the National Day of Russia, Rosatom Engineering Division, general contractor of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (Rooppur NPP) hosted a Russian cultural evening at a convention center in Dhaka.
Welcoming the guests, Pavel Dvoychenkov, Director of Russia House in Dhaka said, “Bangladesh and Russia boast of a strong and historical friendly relation. We are really excited to have the opportunity to celebrate our glorious National Day with the friendly people of Bangladesh. “
“Song and Dance Ensemble of Russian Federation” with their hour-long spectacular performance kept the audience spellbound. Through their song and dance performance, they demonstrated the rich Russian culture, and sentiment of the Russian people.
Representatives from various Bangladeshi stakeholders of Rosatom Engineering Division as well as the local media representatives enjoyed the colorful evening. The guests were cordially welcomed by the members of the Russian delegation including Nina Dementsova, Head of Communications, Atomstroyexport.
The Day of Russia is being observed since 1992 in Russia and in different countries. On this day, the present Russian Federation formally emerged as a sovereign state in the world map.
