National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Daffodil International Academy and Education Watch have arranged a discussion session and quiz competition at Bijoy Milonayton for the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day, a press release said.
Historian and Independence-medal-awarded brave freedom fighter Siraj Uddin Ahmed spoke as the keynote speaker in the discussion .
The programme was chaired by the Principal of NIST,Prof. Md. Fayez Hossain. Prominent scientist and chairman of NIST’s governing body, Professor Dr. Sufi Mostafizur Rahman was a special speaker.
Principal of Graphic Arts Institute, Engineer Nihar Ranjan Das, Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer, Md.Obaidul Haque Bishas and academic director of Daffodil International Academy, Md. Sarwar Hossain Molla were present as speakers in the program.
Education Watch editor Md. Khalilur Rahman moderated the program.
A quiz competition was held among the students present on the occasion and the winners were gifted with books on the liberation war. The speakers presented the gruesome facts of the August 15 massacre to the students.
