12 officials of Election Commission Secretariat have been transferred. On Sunday (August 27), the constitutional institution issued a notification in this regard signed by Assistant Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Mohammad Shahidur Rahman.
According to the notification, Raushan Ara Begum, assistant secretary of the election support-1 branch of the Election Commission Secretariat, has been transferred as election officer of Motijheel police station. Motijheel Police Station Election Officer Afroza Parveen has been made Assistant Secretary of Election Support-1 Branch of Election Commission Secretariat.
Naogaon District Sapahar Upazila Election Officer Mohammad Rezaul Karim has been made Porsha Upazila Election Officer of the same district. Porsha upazila election officer of Naogaon district. Abul Kalam has been made election officer of Sujanagar upazila of Pabna district.
Chuadanga District Election Officer Amit Kumar Das has been transferred as Kasba Upazila Election Officer of Brahmanbaria District. Charbhadrashan upazila election officer of Faridpur district Swapan Kumar Bhowmik has been transferred as Ramganj upazila election officer of Lakshmipur district.
Naogaon Atrai Upazila Election Officer Shah Md. Abul Kalam Azad has been transferred to Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj. Election officer of Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district. Alamgir Hossain has been transferred to Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district.
Kumarkhali upazila election officer of Kushtia district Shirina Aktar Banu has been transferred as Pangsha upazila election officer of Rajbari district. Khoksa upazila election officer of Kushtia district. Rashidul Alam has been transferred to Kaliganj Upazila of Jhenaidah.
In addition, Kushtia Senior District Election Officer’s Office Election Officer Md. Chamiul Alam has been transferred to Paikgacha Upazila of Khulna. Paikgacha upazila election officer of Khulna district Kamaluddin Ahmed has been transferred as Sharsha upazila election officer of Jessore district.
In this same notification, the EC said, the part of the transfer of Mohammad Rezaul Karim, who was transferred in the notification of the Election Commission Secretariat on August 21, has been cancelled. Besides, Naogaon Porsha upazila election officer Niamatpur; Sadarpur Upazila election officer of Faridpur; Naogaon Raninagar Upazila Election Officer; Upazila election officer of Kushtia Kumarkhali; Its additional duties (including duty allowances as per rules) and powers of the Finance Officer are conferred.
The transferred officers will be released from their current posts by August 31. Otherwise, September 3 will be treated as immediate release.
