In the presentation, Dr. Ziaul Huq said, “Sleep is an important physiological process of human beings. Moderate sleep reduces the risk of various diseases including heart disease. The body needs at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep daily to keep it healthy. However, there is a difference between sleep and good sleep. The tendency to not sleep well is a serious disease. It should never be neglected and should seek medical attention if necessary.”

As a result of insomnia, about 45% of the world’s population is at risk of health problems. The World Association of Sleep Medicine has decided to observe World Sleep Day since 2008 to highlight the need for sleep.
