The Economics Club of East West University organized the National Economics Contest-2025 under the patronage of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC on February 20, 2025, marking the club’s 10th anniversary at the university campus, says a press release.
Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the students. More than a hundred institutions, including public and private universities as well as renowned colleges from across the country, are participating in the competition.
Air Commodore (Retd.) Ishfaq Elahi Chowdhury, Treasurer of East West University, attended as the special guest, while Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashiq Mosaddiq presided over the event.
Among others, notable attendees included Md. Zakir Hossain, SAVP of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, K. M. Harunur Rashid, In-charge of the bank’s Public Relations Department, Dr. Muntasir Chowdhury, Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, and Ismat Shirin, Advisor to the Student Welfare Department.
