Global Entrepreneurship Week ends

The 16th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, dedicated to celebrating and empowering entrepreneurs in Bangladesh was observed from November 13th to November 19, a press release said Sunday.

With the participation of 78 partner organizations, this year’s celebration featured more than 200 events spanning across 30 districts in 8 divisions throughout Bangladesh.

The festivities officially ended on November 19th, with the closing ceremony hosted by GEN Bangladesh following the celebration of “International Women Entrepreneurs Day 2023”. This grand gathering united startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, mentors, investors, and enthusiastic participants at the picturesque Green Garden Rooftop of Daffodil Plaza at Dhanmondi in Dhaka.

Joseph Giblin, Economic Unit Chief of Embassy of the United States of America was present as the chief guest. Presided over by K M Hasan Ripon, the GEW National Host, the closing ceremony was also addressed by ZahidaIspahani, Chairperson of MIDAS, Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family and Munir Hasan, CHIEF Executive of Bangladesh Open Source Network (Bdosn).

K M Hasan Ripon, the Global Entrepreneurship Week National Host, took a moment during the ceremony to express his heartfelt gratitude to all the partners and supporters whose unwavering commitment and dedication have been instrumental in making GEW2023 a resounding success. Mr. Ripon extended his appreciation to the entire Global Entrepreneurship Week team across Bangladesh for their tireless efforts and dedication to the cause.
